As a performance and fine artist I want to convey the message that women are more powerful, beautiful and amazing then we realize. My own body bound in ropes serves as a symbolic metaphor for the human figure. The experience is a sensual and physical conduit for entering altered state. It ineluctably expresses how I want to creatively engage with the world. My identity of who I am must be experienced through my body. My body is only thing I came into the world with and the only thing left shortly after I die. Being bound in rope takes me into the physical and emotional pain and pleasure of the human experience while opening myself up to the possibility that I will transcend the pain and go into an altered state of bliss. xoxo
