As I painted goddesses for my published deck and book “Affirmations for the Everyday Goddess”, I couldn’t help but wonder, where, exactly, is the goddess? How could I find her? This question prompted me to engage with the idea of being a woman and an “everyday goddess” in deeper, more meaningful ways. I began to study spiritual literature and human history in order to relate it to the evolution of the idea of goddess and feminine identity. Creating the goddess tarot deck required me to explore personal metaphors of how I feel as a woman about my own power, beauty, sensuality and darkness (life and death). xoxo
